Uses
Control rods are installed to protect pipeline and flexible connectors against fractures arising from
excessive expansion and contraction of piping when the pressure of flowing fluid exceeds the tolerable
pressure. Control rods should be also installed when supports for piping are weak or pipe load impacts
on flexible connector.
